Turkish Coffee or Tea; It was the Turks who introduced coffee into the western world. During the siege of Vienna, when the Ottoman Turks decided to retreat, they left the coffee beans being. Viennese people found out that, out of those green beans, the Turks roast, grind and make a drink which they call coffee. They tried the same and liked it. They named it as Turkish coffee.
Although the name Turkish coffee is so big, coffee is not the biggest drink in Turkey. The biggest during is tea with an average of 15-20 glasses of the per day.
